Our Mission

Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs) are regulated healthcare professionals who focus on oral disease prevention. They can work independently or alongside a dentist as part of your healthcare team.  Our services include assessing teeth and the surrounding tissues, and providing preventive and therapeutic treatments. This could include treating periodontal (gum) disease through scaling or therapies such as applying antibacterial agents under the gums.                                                           -CDHO

What Will Happen at My Dental Hygiene Visit?

A visit to Word of Mouth Dental Hygiene Includes:

Screening for cavities, gum disease and oral cancer

Thorough but gentle scaling above and below the gumline

Polishing and stain removal

Application of antibacterials and fluoride as needed

Advice on maintaining healthy teeth and gums at home

Referral to a great dentist for more advanced treatments
